About the Author

Johnny Dakota's distinctive form of poetry has been molded by a plethora of experiences ranging from his days in the US Army to his studies of the Spanish language. Perhaps the largest influence on his writing stems from living as a Born Again Christian. Dakota currently resides in Vancouver where he enjoys his retirement from ironwork. He spends his leisure creating poetry, attending church, participating in a prison ministry, and song writing. Although this is his first published collection of poetry, he has already released a number of songs. He is a member of the Top Records Songwriter's Association as well as a participant in the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship Internationsl. Johnny Dakota was also the recipiant of the Top Ten Award in 1992, given by the NCA Recording Company, for excellence in songwriting and lyric composition.
