Very different and cute!, March 29, 2011
This review is from: Poetic Licence Women's Summer Bloom Platform Pump (Apparel)
I am always looking for shoes that aren't run of the mill. These are definitely different! I got the black/white. They are more black and cream, not black and true white. The red peeking out by the toe is really cute. It is an orangy red, not a plum/bluish red. I did wear these with a red dress that did not match perfectly, and got tons on compliments on them. I guess no one noticed that the reds weren't exactly the same. The flower covers most of your toes, so if you are worried about maybe having a less than perfect pedicure, don't. The flower is speckled with a gray-ish and gold tint with a silvery sparkly jewel in the middle. I wore silver jewelry thinking the speckles were silver, but in the sun I noticed the gold. No biggie. The heel is sort of clear plastic with a silver metal rod through it, fading to black near the top. I felt the sizing was true to length and width.
They are marked with European sizing on the bottom, but you order by US sizing here. I wear a 9.5 which usually works out for me as a 40 in Casadei, Bettye Muller, and Manolo Blahniks (even though they SAY it should be 39.5) and these are marked 40.5, I don't know why. They fit though. I don't have tons of European-sized shoes...maybe 10 pairs, so maybe the sizing varies from maker to maker more than I think.
I don't often wear platforms, just regular heels, but figured I would buy a pair or two since they are popular now. The platform DOES make it so your foot is more flat rather than bent up in a high heel. However, the shoe doesn't flex much, so you still don't walk perfectly naturally. My heel even slipped out a twice when I was walking quickly, forgetting that my shoe wasn't bending with my foot. That was over the course of 5 hours, so it wasn't too annoying. To me, they were easier to stand in than a similar heel in non-platform form, but less easy to walk in due to the stiffness of them. On carpet, no problem. On less than perfect pavement or bricks, you might stomp around a little. I don't think it is due to the man-made sole (versus a leather one), but rather the nature of this platform style (you can tell from the photos that the platform tapers up past the middle.)
Overall, I like them very much. Not as comfy as I hoped due to the non-bending aspect of them, but still very cute. I am thinking about the pink/blue ones and the purple pink ones too, but I might wait for the price to go down a little to get another pair.

Sexy AND comfortable!, May 2, 2011
These are not only an incredibly sexy pair of heels, but one of the most comfortable pairs I have ever owned. I think the pump platform takes a lot of the pressure off the the feet and I believe it or not, I can wear them all day at work with ease. The ying and yang aspect of the shoe initially caught my eye. I am currently looking for another pair in a different color.

Wow!, June 24, 2011

I wanted these in black/white but my size wasnt available. I went with the red and got a 7.5 which is my normal size. They fit perfect and they are stunning and unique! They are comfortable but have no traction at all so I stuck a slip grip on the bottoms and fixed it right up. I treated mine with suede protector on the red side. These are just gorgeous. Love the fade to black heel, love the half red, half floral design and love the flower! OK...I just love these. I am a bit of a shoe addict and now I want the brown, the navy and the black!
