About the Author

SUSAN TERRIS lives in San Francisco. Her book Fire Is Favorable to the Dreamer (Arctos Press 2003) has been named "Best Poetry Book of 2003 by the Bay Area Independent Publishers Association. Other poetry titles include Natural Defenses (Marsh Hawk 2004), Curved Space (La Jolla Poets Press 1998), Eye of the Holocaust (Arctos 1999) and Angels of Bataan (Pudding House 1999). Recent fiction is NellÂ’s Quilt (Farrar, Straus & Giroux). She is coeditor of the annual anthology RUNES, A Review of Poetry.

A magical & unique book of poetry. This may have been inspired by the work of other poets but its voice is distinct. The lyric and musical nature of these seven-line poems is quite wonderful. This book deserves to be read!
