5.0 out of 5 stars Meeting One Another Halfway, January 1, 2011
This review is from: I'm An Aspie; A Poetic Memoir for Living the Human Experience Through the Eyes of Asperger's (Hardcover)
"I'll meet you halfway." -- June Carter Cash to Johnny Cash

This book is a masterpiece. It really is. The poems are beautifully written that speak to personal experience. This book will refute all claims that people with autism lack the ability to understand metaphors. That simply isn't true.

Asperger's is the spectrum partner to autism and this author brings to the neurotypical world the Asperger's Experience. Since this author has Asperger's, he "gets" it and understands the perspective of many on the spectrum.

Brian writes straight from the heart. His poems are very enlightening, inspiring and even uplifting. Be sure to read this book and pass it along to others so they can enjoy it and learn from it as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational reading for Aspies and NT's, October 25, 2008
As the mother of two wonderful Aspie sons I whole heartedly recommend this book. The poems will inspire all who read them. This is not one of those dry clinical books written by someone who has studied Aspergers. It is a book written by someone who lives it. Those of us who embrace Aspergers have always known the struggles faced by our loved ones. It is inspirational to see these situations played out in poetry. I have the pleasure of taking my sons to see Brian and appreciate him opening up his heart to share his poetry with us. The poems are touching, funny, and insightful. This is definitely a book to share with teachers and professionals who work with our beloved Aspies.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-read for all who want to be inspired, October 12, 2008
I found Brian's book to be incredible, amazing and paradigm shifting. Brian's poems and commentary are truly inspiring to people touched by autism and to all humans as we can all relate to the ups and downs of living the human experience. It's the kind of book you can re-read when you're feeling down and paves a road to positive thinking that we can all benefit from. I hope you find it as meaningful, insightful and creative as I did. It also gave me a glimpse into the possible thought processes of my son with Asperger's, which is a very special gift. Thank you, Brian, for sharing your fascinating perspective!
