This large collection of poetry run the gamut of emotions from love to anger, and despair to hope. It touches on all aspects of life: birth and death, childhood and growing old. Its wide range makes it easy to absorb--you're never immersed in one emotion for too long, and the next poem offers a different emotion, a different insight. I really enjoyed this collection. One of my favorites is "Once we were young"--a bittersweet look at how the wonder of childhood transforms to the despair of adulthood and once again into the insight of old age.
