The inner thoughts of this poet come to the surface beautifully in Poetic Sighs. A shapely evergreen to patriotic expression, sunlight to moonbeams, the journey is vast yet very intimate from within the author's soul. I enjoyed this book.

Robert D. McManes (Mac) has written a volume with a mixture of romance and whimsy. This is a book of poems that challenges the reader to test their perceptions and emotions. I loved this collection of poems, from a person of uncommon receptivity to the moment....

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, because of the honesty and earthy quality. I found myself smiling more than once while reading it. Mr. McManes has a edgy wit along with some wonderful descriptions of his surroundings and Nature. His work is easy to understand, and very descriptive, liken to a colorful painting with words.
