I got this case today and very happy with purchase. I have the Acase one that looks just like this one and I can honestly say there is no difference except that this one is priced cheaper.I think I like this Poetic case a little more because it opens and closes easier than the Acase brand.I had the HP oem case it just felt and looked cheap so I returned it.This is not a problem with the Poetic one it looks great, feels great and fits great it also can be charged on the touchstone dock.I would like to say to all the people looking and wondering what case to get, well this is it.I seen on SD that people were choosing the Acase over this Poetic brand because it did not have enough reviews, take it from someone who has both get this one and save yourself some money.I think both are great cases very good fit and feel and make the touchpad look great. I dont think you can find a better case for the touchpad.I would also like to say the seller shipped this very quickly I am very happy I took a chance on it, and if I happen to get another touchpad this is the case and the seller I will get it from .....Dont worry SD folks this case is great.

Pretty unique case. Works great with touch stone which is important. It's not ultra thin, but ends up being the same thickness as my ipad 2 in a caselogic case. It's folding function is pretty unique and doesn't use the cheap flap thing that a lot of cases (like the official hp one) use. The case ends up resting on the bottom of the inside jacket after you pop it out slightly of the back cover This allows 3 or 4 different angles which is awesome. However, the speakers end up being blocked as they fit in the groove that acts as the stand. You can get around this by putting the touchpad in the other direction and having the device rest on the volume buttons which would be better for skyping. However, the buttons can get pressed when setting this up.

I am very impressed with the fit an finish of this flexible case/stand. Unlike most non HP cases, it does not interfere with finger motions since it only holds the Touchpad by the corners and two edge points. It is fairly compact, has multiple positions, fits perfectly, and looks great. It stays closed tightly and should give excellent protection. I was going to purchase the HP case, but this one provides more flexibility, it is made of leather, and it cost me less. Highly recommended.

What I was looking for in a case for my touchpad was something that would provide a reasonable protection if I am carrying in my bag etc. I don't expect to drop my touchpad as much as my phone since the latter is smaller and we use it more frequently. So, I wanted something that covers the touchpad entirely but doesn't add too much to the bulk. I do have two young kids who use the tablet at home, but that still doesn't justify a construction grade protection for the touchpad. Also I'd like to access my touchpad quickly so I do not like a flap that locks/snaps when you close and hence have to fuss with unlocking it etc..

Likes:
This case is well made and the the finish is quite good. The material doesn't seem to be genuine leather, but I didn't really mind.
The customer service from Poetic is quite good as they responded to my email questions in a couple of hours.

Not likes:
Like I mentioned above, the case is very bulky. See the couple of pictures I've uploaded above comparing with my macbook air. To start with, the touch pad is about twice as thick as iPad 2, and then you double its thickness further with this cover and defeat the whole purpose of portability.
Also, I do not like the snapping cover flap. I had to fuss with it to get it open every time I had to use it.
I don't find the design elegant and sleek. It holds the touchpad using a few curved flaps, but do not provide complete protection (see the stock pictures above).

I returned this case and got the one made by HP and find it much better designed (though it seems to be a replica of iPad 1 case by Apple). This one is made of a rubberish material, but covers the touchpad completely and doesn't have many of the issues mentioned above. So far I like it way better than the Poetic one.

I bought this case in September so I could use my touchpad on campus comfortably and safely THINKING it was a high quality leather case... you know, like they advertise it? I was wrong. I thought something was off at first when the texture didn't seem quite right but I figured they'd just treated the leather for use on a tablet case.

Then just from being opened and closed a handful of times a day, and not even every day, the "leather" split open completely on the snap that holds the case shut. The "leather" this case is made of is so thin it may as well have been textured paint printed on, and the underlying material is some kind of grey powdery cardboard or recycled paper-like substance. Something like what recycled paper egg cartons are made of. I thought it might just be the snap at first but then I noticed that little scuffs, the kind you get from just pulling something out of your bag, that wouldn't even mark leather were snagging the material. Shortly after the thin layer of plastic pretending to be leather covering snap split open completely one of those scuffs just fell open and you can see that the entire case is nothing more than grey lint painted over with leather textured rubber or plastic that's no thicker than saran wrap.

There's advertising, playing up your product, and then there's selling plastic coated cardboard as "leather". Amazon should ban sellers that pull this kind of bait and switch scam on people.
