This is an excellent collection of poetry.
C. Ridgway
It's over a thousand pages long in print form but the Kindle edition isn't indexed so there's no way to search for words or phrases.
Terryann Sullivan
A select number of books that I enjoy re-reading.

Save yourself the time and download the Project Gutenberg file of Longfellow's complete poetry. This version is not properly formatted. The lines do not end (or, therefore begin) where they are supposed to. It is formatted like the poems are actually a prose composition.

Amazon shouldn't even sell this... no index, no appendix, no separations between articles, titles imbedded in ongoing print (although they are bolded), totally inadequate..by its own admission text is missing words misspelled. Total waste of time..

As others have said, the format is prose, not poetry. Every poem looks exactly the same, and even the Contents page simply lists the poem titles in paragraph form with no punctuation between the names so that it reads like a bizarre sentence: "Prelude Hymn to the Night A Psalm of Life The Reaper and the Flowers The Light of Stars Footsteps of Angels Flowers The Beleaguered City Midnight Mass for the Dying Year EARLIER POEMS" then on to the next paragraph, which lost its heading to the end of this first paragraph of titles....

Poets put their line breaks and punctuation where they do for a reason, and this format is taken away by this version of the poet's works.

It is wonderful to have the poetry, but it was all slapped together in a very non-reader friendly way.

I bought this Kindle book so I could search it for ideas for my personal journal writing. It's over a thousand pages long in print form but the Kindle edition isn't indexed so there's no way to search for words or phrases.

Even for $0.00 it is not worth the hassle. There is absolutely no way to interact with the table of contents. Additionally, any word search such as a title, or a particular word does not return any useful responses.

Would like to have this title. Although, I would like to be able to read one piece on the Kindle, without spending and hour finding...any writing. Just makes you want to through the Kindle against the wall.

Amazon, you created the Kindle. A very good reader. Dont lower your standards anymore with these books that have no interactive table of contents and inconsistent formatting.

Sheesh.

I saw a few of his poems in another book and I had to pick up a complete collection. You really can't go wrong... he speaks to the heart so easily!
