The voice that comes through this book is daring rather than desperate, decisive rather than doleful, and fairly composed, given the constraints that govern the lives of the featured poets, as women and as artists.

Excellent!,

This review is from: The Poetry Of Iranian Women (Paperback)
First off, I admit I have a bias for Ms. Kalbasi's works. She's an excellent human being and therefore her products/books can not be the opposite of what she is as an intelligent human being. And one should commend her for helping collect these pieces of rich poetry and literature. Sheema's great work is to help the Iranian poets (female poets, of course) be heard around the globe. The content of the poems can be scrutinized for all I care and it won't be my job to do so but the fact is that Sheema has been trying to get the message across and it should be commended and appreciated. Good job!
