Ottmar Liebert does a great job of playing classic Christmas melodies with his own New Mexican style. His renditions are cheery and original. This is a great addition to any world music Christmas collection.

Our young composer/musician from Higher Octave, shares the peace of the "Holiday Season", with counterpoint flair...can only be described through his God-given-talent of music...fifteen selections that will open you heart, capturing the moment from surroundings that remind you of "peace on earth, good will toward men"...if it doesn't, you missed the Christmas message!

As usual there are stand outs ~ "DECK THE HALLS", puts you immediately in a festive mood..."ANGELS WE HAVE HEARD ON HIGH/HIGH ON HOPE", sends a message from within..."LITTLE DRUMMER BOY/LUNA NEGRA BEAT", Latin guitar blends of percussion, speaks to us on a Flamenco plain, simply breath-taking...but the highlight is "1ST NOWELL", always one of my favorites, Ottmar gives this traditional carol another whole meaning, Liebert's arrangement takes you back to another time, where it all took place, in a small stable and a star shining brightly.

Out of my wife's and my 20 or so Christmas CD's this one gets the most play--from the tree going up to taking the last garland off the walls and the wreath off the door. I've been an Ottmar Liebert fan since I saw him open for Basia in 1989 at C.W. Post on Long Island and his signature flamenco sound is miraculous. He brought such a wonderful style of music to the mainstream and goes even further with this collection of Christmas classics as well as some originals that blend right in. A perfect CD...

The title is perfect! Makes you feel like you're in the middle of a wonder homespun Christmas with someone who brought a guitar (instead of a piano). The songs are played from the heart and go straight to yours. They are cheery, warm and portray a real meaningful Christmas. Elegantly beautiful. Of all my Christmas music, this is definitely my very, very favorite!

Heard this album at a holiday party last year, bought it, and now pleased to discover he has released many albums since this was released nearly 15 years ago. The music is upbeat and festive, and if you want a great album for your holiday party, this is the one. Enjoyed by all ages in my family (preschool up to retirees and inbetween). Happy Holidays!!

I finally replaced my old cassette tape for the CD!!! believe it or not! I have been a fan of Ottmar since the start of his career and this Christmas album is just incredible! I wish he would put a new one out!

I bought this CD for my dad, who loves listening to good Spanish guitar music. And let me just say, it was a hit! (He opened it immediately and put it in the CD player to listen to in fact.) It is thoroughly enjoyable, and could just as easily be background music for you as you work/wrap presents/decorate the tree as be in a more lively setting, such as music to play at your next Christmas party. If you're looking for some Christmas music with a bit of a twist, you would not be disappointed with this option.

Most of the music is beautiful, a few cuts are average. In one the chords are repeated too many times. Very relaxing.

What a beautiful bit of music!! Calms the soul, and totally relaxes you. I would recommend it to all who loved guitar music, and the Christmas carols. After losing my nephew who played guitar in a band, and at Christmas time made this a gift worth owning. Got two one for his Mom as well. Thank you
