Poggio all'Olmo Organic Eucalyptus Honey & Health,
By S. B. (Eastern half of USA) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Poggio all'Olmo Organic Eucalyptus Honey, 18 oz. (Misc.)
I bought this honey, not for teas or food, but for the purported homeopathic properties of eucalyptus honey.I not only used it in chamomile tea as a sweetener, but I made a poultice of it for ingrown toenail pain on my right big toe. A dab on the afflicted area, then wrapping it with a piece of cotton material so the honey could be absorbed, and within four days I found the redness and pain had diminished, and the infection that often accompanies an ingrown toenail had risen to just under the skin where I could lance it and drain it. After that, I cleaned the wound, packed it with a dab of eucalyptus honey, and wrapped it again. I had fourteen poultices in all, and the fact that this drew out the infection and reduced my pain better than anything over-the-counter or from the doctor still surprises me. This is one home remedy I'd recommend, especially with Poggio all'Olmo Organic Eucalyptus Honey. Now if only someone on Amazon would carry it again, I'd be very happy.
