This is the real stuff. The tears will run down your cheeks. Small doses only please; we don't want you to get sick from too much laughing. Stuff is 'Sunday Book' level.

I have been reading POGO ever since it first appeared in the newspapers. I am glAD TO NOTE THAT MY SON (NOW IN FIFTIES) IS ALSO A fan. POGO has provided me with humor, philosophy, and anything else you can say. Walt Kelly had a genius for peering into the human behavior and interpreting that behavior with a possum, alligator, turtle, owl, etc. Who else could begin to approach his genius?
