I don't read a lot of poetry but I have really been surprised by this collection. After reading, or re-reading, one of these poems I often pause and say "oh that was good". The two main themes that resonate with me in this collection are spirituality and family heritage.

I have had the privilege of hearing the author read from this book. The words reached out to me from the pages when I read it but hearing it live was truly special.
