I had trouble downloading to the pen, but after weeks of trying to contact customer service, they were able to help me. Something missing from their directions is that you need to have a current version of java on your computer for the Content Manager to work. If it doesn't work for you go to [...] and click the link that checks if you have java. If you do not, go back to the original page and download the free version of java. After I did that the content manager on [...] worked well. The books are great and I'm glad we can finally add these to our collection.

We got a great deal on a Poingo starter set over Christmas, so picked it up for our three year old as his much loved LeapPad died, and is no longer being made. He seems to love these books as much as he did the LeapPad, so I'm happy with it overall. I've yet to have to download anything from the site, as all the books we've bought (all but one came with the pen itself) were on the pen already.

My main complaints center on how easily the pages seem to separate from the books. We have four books, including this Thomas one, and every single one of them has a page that is coming out at the seams. My son has never been hard on books, either, so this is baffling to me. The other issue we've run into is that the games are sometimes over his head and he gets frustrated. Hopefully, he will just grow into them, though, as he figures out his letters better.

Both my 3yr old girl and 5yr boy love this system. Book took too long to get here received after Christmas.

My 5 year old son loves his Poingo Pen and he loves Thomas. So, this is a great book for us. We love all of the hidden games and sounds in addition to reading the book.

Ordered this product for granddaughters birthday. I've actually never seen the reading system work, but she already had several of the Poingo books and loved them. When I talked with her later, she told me she really liked Thomas and Friends.

Generally I don't write product reviews, but I thought that this was a great book for a little boy who loves Thomas! The poor review this received doesn't really tell the whole story, so to speak. My 3 yr old son got 3 Poingo books and the pen for Christmas and they entertain him as well as stimulate various thinking skills. I was excited to see this book available since he is crazy about Thomas the Train and anything to do with him, and bought it despite the bad review. To add this book to the Poingo pen was simple - just plug the pen into a USB port, open the content manager from a desktop icon, click on Thomas, click on copy! Fast and easy.
