Even Better than Storm Rider!,

To my mind,and that of my 11 year old boy, this is the best of the three graphic novel versions of the popular Alex Rider series. In this plot, Alex goes undercover at a Swiss boarding school for the extremely well to do, and discovers an evil plot to make use of these wealthy teens. The boarding school setting, up in the mountain, adds a lot of interest, making this my own personal favorite of the novels as well as my son's favorite!
The graphic novel versions of this series are fantastic, and perhaps even an improvement on the original texts. The illustrations are well done and fascinating for kids, and the plot stays true to the original, introducing complex twists as well as some advanced vocabulary. Great for fans of the novels, and for reluctant readers who find the original novels a little too taxing or not interesting enough. |
