this cd is cheap. keep that in mind. it should be aroun 5 or 6 dollars. that alone should boost it's score a couple points.
now, I may be being a snob, but it seems like most people who are realy into metallic hardcore, have already heard a lot of the artists on here. However, if you're just getting interested in this "metalcore" stuff this is probably a great place to start.
it's got some really accessable stuff, most of which is that swedish influenced metal and hardcore that all the kids love these days, as well as some staples of the genre, like converge and some bands that are just getting big like meshuggah and shadows fall.
while I can't say I really like every band on here, the songs chosen are fairly good ones(excluding zao - angel without wings). the point is, this cd gives new listeners something pretty exciting, and perhaps most importantly, a list of names of bands to look into.
my only problem with this disc are personal. I just don't like some of the bands/songs. for what it's worth, some of these songs make the bands that play them seem much better
