POINT OF IMPACT - Wired dot.com thriller,
By
This review is from: Point of Impact (Tom Clancy's Net Force, Book 5) (Mass Market Paperback)
An elite federal agency of Internet cops goes after a California dude whose chemistry set includes the wherewithal to manufacture a superman designer drug that is probably immune to kryptonite. Bunsen burner hot shot Bobby Drayne sells purple capsules of Thor (God of thunder) to his rich web clients at a grand a pop. With Thor in their veins, they enjoy hours of ecstasy and ultra strength of body and mind that has the U.S. government and the pharmaceutical companies green with envy. The military application of Thor would give new meaning to the notion of charging up a hill; and the drug companies would salivate for a Viagra pill for the rest of the body. The stage is set to find the source of the purple wonder.NET FORCE: POINT OF IMPACT is the fifth in the Tom Clancy inspired Internet mystery series. It is nouveau pulp fiction: fast paced, action packed, with thinly-developed characters whose role is to drive the storyline ahead at lightning speed. POINT OF IMPACT delivers on the pulp fiction promise. It is guilt-free summer reading at its best.

This review is from: Point of Impact (Tom Clancy's Net Force, Book 5) (Mass Market Paperback)
The large purple pill slides easily down the man's throat. Within minutes his skin tingles, his eyes sharpen, and his muscles bulge. This new designer drug gives its users the strength of superman and the brains of Einstein, if only the user doesn't go crazy first.Net Force's job is to find out who is manufacturing this drug and stop him before the drug kills more people. Should the pharmaceutical companies or the military find the person first the results could be disastrous! This is the fifth book in the Tom Clancy created Net Force series. It's a fast paced, action packed novel that's easy to read and will keep you interested from start to finish. While these novels don't have the highly developed characters, and immense detail of Clancy's earlier works they are still very entertaining.

Enjoyable,

This review is from: Point of Impact (Tom Clancy's Net Force, Book 5) (Mass Market Paperback)
Net Force was at it again, using their most sophisticated technology available & the cumulative mental & physical skills of the whole team to capture two evasive drug dealers, whose product would transform an average Joe into a Superman. The pharmaceutical company was hunting them down due to the drug's marketability, the Government was doing the same thing too for it poses major security threat to the country should it fall into the wrong hand. A highly enjoyable pulp fiction as long as we don't take it seriously, & enough twists to keep us guessing till the very end.
