Fran was a very well known teacher of calligraphy. She studied calligraphy since 1972, was invited faculty member at most of the International Calligraphy Conferences. She had her own studio and gallery in Portland OR. Her students enjoyed her positive enthusiastic attitude. You will too.

Excellent for intermediate calligraphers!,

Fran's book is one of the most elegant treatises on the topic of brush calligraphy, especially if used and viewed in conjunction with the corresponding video. I had known here since late 1987, and she was a fabulous woman and an expert artist. Anyone interested in the field or the art of writing should purchase this wonderful edition.
