This review is from: Points of Departure: Zen Buddhism With a Rinzai View (Paperback)
Eido Roshi is the real deal. He brought Rinzai Zen to the west from japan, in a lineage that can be traced all the way back to the Buddha himself. In 'Pionts of Departure," you have the opportunity to hear and read his outstanding insights that penetrate to the very core of who we are (if you allow it). As a friend of mine once said (as he was stealing my book), "Eido Roshi's words, shine like a field of diamonds." As Eido Roshi say's it best without really knowing it, in the chapter, 'Who Is It?' - "It helps you wade across the water when the bridge is down. It accompanies you to the village on the moonless night." Buy and read it, you won't go wrong. Promise :-).
