Yolanda Adams' Points of Power is one of the best faith-based books I have ever read. Ms. Adams is known internationally for her awesome singing voice. However, it is obvious from the spirit-filled pages of Points of Power she has a wide-range spiritual calling. Points of Power is based on her radio show of the same name and covers the spiritual struggles all believers have. The book is broken into several chapters and is further divided into sub-chapters. Each is filled with easy-to-read and easy-to- understand messages of faith and joy from the author's own experiences. The chapters all end with a Point of Prayer, 10 Pensive Points and a Power Passage. The messages were very encouraging and I read through the book as though it were a novel.
I recommend Points of Power to all who are on a spiritual journey and those who are struggling with their faith. Ms. Adams will reach the reader with her words in the same way she has with her music. Points of Power is a wonderful way to kick off your spiritual New Year. Angelia Menchan APOOO BookClub

Powerful Book,

Radio personality Yolanda Adams did a wonderful job in her first book. Points of Power is just what it appears to be...powerful! She reaches out to the very heart and soul of women and encourages them to pursue a closer walk with God.
One of the best parts of this book are the stories of everyday people and how they learned to overcome obstacles and gain peace and joy in their lives. It was inspirational.

There are ten chapters. Each have sections in them that Yolanda calls Power Points. At the end of each one there are mini sections called Power Passage, Point of Practice, Point of Prayer, 10 Pensive Points and another Power Passage.
She takes stories from others as well as her own life, and the Bible as examples of the relationship we can have with God and each other, and I enjoyed learning more about this woman who until now I knew only as a Gospel singer with a beautiful voice. I now see her as a much more. This is a wonderful book that I would recommend to anyone who has a hurdle to overcome and/or wants a more joyful and peaceful life, and wants a closer walk with God.
