5.0 out of 5 stars DELUXE EDITION
Okay, so if you like catchy sing along choruses, some huge simplistic metal riffs and the odd bit of shouting then this band are for you. The Poison is a great album with a variation of songs, from the more emotional songs such as 'All These Things I Hate Revolve Around Me' to the fist pumping 'Room 409'. This is really an excellent album, which is a good base for those...

3.0 out of 5 stars fooled
If you didn't read my review for their other cd, I bought this one at the same time as Scream, Aim, Fire, based off of the title track single. The rest of that cd was disappointing. Each track dropped a little more to the emo sound. I heard that this one could not compare in aggressiveness to the newer one. Although it is not as heavy as the title track, this one is more...

The Poison is a great album with a variation of songs, from the more emotional songs such as 'All These Things I Hate Revolve Around Me' to the fist pumping 'Room 409'. This is really an excellent album, which is a good base for those who are beginning to get into the heavier metal bands. With a couple of songs thrown from their superb EP this album is topped off with the majestic 'The End' which really hits home what these Welsh metallers are about.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Band. Great Songs. Great Bonus Disc., February 12, 2011
This review is from: The Poison (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
BFMV is simply awesome. I would've given this five stars except that I reserve five stars for CD's that I like every song on. There are a couple on here that I'm not all that crazy about. Tears Don't Fall, All These Things I hate, Cries in Vain, and 10 Years Ago are the must hear songs on the album. The deluxe edition has extra tracks that are well worth it. The remake of Metallica's Welcome Home is wonderful and the acoustic version of Tears Don't Fall is a great edition. The bonus DVD has live concert footage as well as music videos. Definitely worth the $6 or so it's running on amazon used right now. I believe the regular edition is running about the same price so why not grab this one?

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!!!!!!, July 22, 2007
This review is from: The Poison (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
When I first saw this item I was browsing around the internet just killing time. I already own the original release of The Poison, so I was a little hesitant to order this for 4 new tracks and a dvd. I wish I had bought it as soon as i noticed it. The extra tracks are amazing and the dvd is fantastic. BFMV is one of the best new bands I've heard in awhile. The music is melodic and heavy. If you do not own this cd do yourself a favor and buy it. TODAY!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth The Extra Money, December 19, 2008
This review is from: The Poison (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
The riffs and vocal melodies are very cool and make every song memorable. They blend together metal with regular rock and even a little punk and they play their instruments very well. The singer is very dynamic and can do a lot with his voice, as he does most of the screaming and all of the singing. This is serious music unlike a lot of the popular music today, plus they can play live. They are extremely catchy without changing their sound to do so and are arguably the best British/Welsh band today. Buy this or at least the regular music only version and you will be impressed I promise.
