Songs from Living With The Law, done like on Dirt Floor, June 20, 2009

This short release is well worth tracking down for Chris Whitley fans. The first cut is the Living With the Law version of Poison Girl. However, the remaining tracks are unaccompanied acoustic versions of Make the Dirt Stick, Kick the Stones, Poison Girl, Living With The Law, and one I don't have on any other recording: A Pint of Lotion. The style on those five tracks is reminiscent of Dirt Floor, but a bit faster. These are gems that should be more widely available. I only give this four stars because it is short, and has a redundant version of Poison Girl. However, this was one of those cd single releases that used to be common. (Gather round, children, while I tell you a tale of physical recorded copies of music...)
