I'm a certified specialist in poison information (CSPI). We use Olson daily in our job. Also use it as a text for studying for our boards. Great book. Set up for easy research. Concise info. Like to use this info when discussing treatment options with physicians.

I purchased this as graduation gift for my son-in-law who just graduated with degree in nursing. Will be helpful for him working in psych nursing.

I have the previous edition, but still use it all the time when I'm in the ER/wards. It covers just about everything, and has just enough background pathophys, management guidelines, and easy to find what you're looking for.

I highly recommend this book for anyone doing a toxicology rotation or who will work in an ER and see acute poisonings/ingestions.

This was a gift for my son who's an emergency department resident. He requested it and was very pleased when he received it.

This is a good book for those who are taking a toxicology course or working at a poison control center as a reference.

I think this is the best portable book in "clinical" toxicology

there are four sections

1 emergency treatment

2 common poisons & drugs (alphabetical listing)including the pathophysiology ,toxic dose and level.clinical presentation.diagnosis and specific treatment associated with each substance (very helpful)

3 therapeutic drugs & antidotes

4 environmental & occupational toxicology
