Santa brought this for my 7 year old. As a kid I HATED Monopoly and rarely played it. I do not know much about the beloved Pokemon, either, but you don't need to know anything! We just loved this game. The games lasted 4-5 hours and the kids (7&10) sharpen their math skills with money counting and learn how to handle money on an adult level without even knowing it. You can shorten the game...but we never wanted to. It sure doesn't seem like the boring old Monopoly I remember as a kid. My 7 year old still crys when he has to mortgage property or lose a favorite Pokemon due to a competitor rolling double sixes but he always wants to play again! Nice family game!

My 8 year old son bought this game with money that he got for xmas and I ended up giving him half of the money back because after we played it,we all had so much fun we decided it would be a good game for family game night. Now we play it almost on a daily basis with him and he is learning to manage money (as good as you can at 8)and he has fun doing it. Thank You Parker Brothers for making this one.

I think the game is great,its monopoly with a twist of Poke'mon. The spaces are made up of all differn't types grass to fire to water. I love the specials for doubles,so over all I think its the best monopoly game ever

My son placed this item on his wish list for Christmas and was delighted to have received it from a friend. I was skeptical, since they already had Monopoly, and Jr. Monopoly. Boy was I WRONG! They ADORE this set! I have played it a few times with them and find the game refreshingly different from the mundane rules of the original monopoly.

Pokemon Monopoly, to me, is probably my favorite edition of Monopoly (Besides Deluxe Edition). Parker Brothers did a very good job on designing it. When I played it, it was a lot better than playing the original Monopoly. I gave one to a colleague as a gift and he loved it. Definitely goes great as a gift. A definite overall 5 stars!

The pokemon edition of monopoly has got to be the best version that i have played. The concept of the game is more or less the same as the original. Instead of buying property you have to catch pokemon of the same colour, once you have collected all of the pokemon of one particular colour you earn a badge. Once you have a badge you can build a gym or a pokemon centre. (instead of houses and hotels) This version of pokemon will appeal to all ages even those who were't fans of the original as this game is so much fun

WOW, it is fun to play this game. Sometimes I like it. And this game also educational because it will help us to improve our methematics calculation. It's very exiting to play this game. Usually I didn't get pretty lucky to win. Be careful playing this game. Watch out for "Gary Attacks", "Team Rocket Attacks" and others, they may let you get bankrupted. So, be careful at throwing the dice. They also have some bonuses. For example: When you throw the dice and it comes to double 2s, you, rest like Clefairy and collect P$200 from the bank. Sometimes when you play this game, you might get lucky or very unlucky.

If you are thinking of getting this you should get it now because all special monopolys are only for sale for a few months and then there gone. with pokemon it'll probably be longer because there is a great demand. Dont look at the age range because it is wrong, anyone will like this game. It is a great game for the pokemon master.

I need to vent! I just played this with my 7 year old. It took me over an hour (with him sitting there saying "Are we ready to play YET! " every 2 seconds!) to get through the convoluted instructions...they didn't BOTHER to make new instructions. They just added to the old ones. For example (this is just one example...the whole set of instructions is like this...you need an interpreter!), instead of saying that if you land on "GARY ATTACKS!" you pay 10% or $200, in the instructions it says, "Income Tax" If you land here you pay 10% or $200. So, I'm reading the instructions and then looking for the "Income Tax" Square on the board and its not there! Another example is in the instructions, Cards are Called "Chance" and "Community Chest" On the Board, they are pictures of Ash and someone else...How about referring to the cards as Ash and ______ cards? I bought POKEMON Monopoly...THAT IS WHAT THE INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD REFER TO! I can't even tell you how frustrated I was (still haven't recovered!)They refer to boardwalk and park place when giving you EXPLANATIONS that are supposed to be helping me understand the game...those places are not on this board...Parker Brothers were incredibly LAZY when they made this game. Bottom line, though, was my son and I had a good time playing it when I finally figured out what to do.

My 8 year old son has really enjoyed this game. I have played it with him and thought it was alot of fun. It uses most of the rules from regular Monopoly with some interesting differences. For a child who loves Pokemon and board games it is great, and it gives the video games a break.
