Poor choice in bundle contents,

Not knowing anything about Pokemon, we thought this would be a great "starter" set for our 8 year-old. Turns out the two included games are virtually identical! By their own admission! The packages say: "The contents of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Explorers of Darkness are almost the same." Why in the world would they package two virtually identical games together?!
