I have just recently reserved one for myself. I saw screen shots opf the Japanese version, and it is better than Gold/Silver. For one, when you enter a new route or city, a little box will appear at the bottom of the screen to let you know what city/route you have entered. Also, the legendary dogs/cats, whatever they are, are now seen in the wild. Suicune is the main Pokemon in this game. What I mean by that is, you will see what he lopoks like and Entei and Raikou will appear as they do in G/S. Also, you finally get the G/S Ball. If you take it to Kurt, he'll take it for a day, give it back to you when you go back. When you get it back, you can take it into the Ilex Forest, put it in the Shrine you past by, and have a chance of carching Celebii. There are also a few new items, but, I don't know what they're are called. It also has updated information on the Unown. Also, there are new puzzles you have to figure out in order to catch the 26 Unown. This game is going to be of of the best sequels to any Pokemon game. This is a must-have for any die-hard Pokemon fan.

1.The Best thing about this game is the new battle tower in olivine city You can go in pick the other trainers levels of Pokemon and battle them (This is helpful for raising pkmn) if you win you can get rewards like carobs and protein :) 2. in the runes of Alph you have to read the massages on the wall like a book to figure out puzzles. this makes this side quest harder. 3. You will have an easer time catching one of the hardest to find Pokemon Suicune after you battle the wise trio. in tin tower 4. in gold and silver the dragons den is just a hiding place for the dragons fang in crystal you have to pass many quizzes to get the last badge in johto 5. Buena a radio DJ in the radio tower of johto gives out a password every day and you go to her tell the password to her and she gives you points that you can redeem for prizes like nuggets and iron and other great things here is a full list ultra ball is 2 points full restor is 2 points nugget and rare candy are 3 points protein, iron carbos calucim and hp up are a whopping 5 points each. 6 in the day care center next to goldenrod city a man will give you an egg but IT IS NOT TOGEPI it could be Pichu or maybe igglybuff it is a mystery?????? 7. the images in crystal have been enhanced like the ice path to blackthorn city it looks like it is pure ice the ground is covered in snow and the "rocks" the things that block the sides of the path look like ice crystals it makes you feel cold while going through it. and a new thing in battle and in the pokedex the Pokemon move around i call this Pokemation for example Sentret waves its arms and bounces and Pikachu waves winks and raises one foot before battle. 8 in gold and silver the cell phone is just for rematches but in crystal you can get real good info and things like evolution stones potions and other great stuff 9 some Pokemon learn new attacks like Yanma it learns wing attack and Snesel learns metal claw and dug trio learns Tri attack 10. and the newest and the best thing for pokegirls every where you can chose to be a boy or girl. 11. there is a guy that will teach one of your pokemon ice beam thunderbolt or flamethrower to your pokemon for a price of 4000 coins whitch is not bad if you have pokemon stadiunm 2 and a transfer pack. 12. one bad thing is to catch hoho you have to catch all the ledgendary dogs and defeat the eliet four talk about demanding. one more thing YOU CAN'T CATCH THE TIME TRAVILING POKEMON CELEBI this fact is proven by nintendo and nintendo power magazine it is just another roumor like the mew code in red blue and yellow it is not real I'm real sorry i had to spill the beans on the sad truth.

Crystal is the MUST-HAVE game of the entire year for ANY great Pokemon Trainer. If you are a girl Poke' fan, good news--you can be a girl in this game. I know some people say that you can get Crystalix(Crystal Onyx), but you can't. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM!!!!! THEY ARE TRYING TO CONFUSE YOU!!!!!!!!! Anyway, this game is very much centered around Suicune--even the box has Suicune on it! Your rival REALLY wants to get Suicune, but you need to try and get it first. Just like what Ho-Oh and Lugia were like on the G/S games, Suicune is going to be like that--just standing there--but he WILL move around the world. Also in Crystal, when you are battling, your Pokemon and the enemy Pokemon will be animated. Like with Lugia, for example, he will flap his wings, or blink, or shake his head. That kind of stuff. You will also be able to catch Celebi in the wild, but also like the other games, you can only try ONCE. You get the G/S ball from Prof. Oak, give it to Kurt for a day, then when you get it back, place it on the shrine in Ilex Forest. I would suggest theat you save before you place, because if you miss catching Celebi, you won't have another chance. Another great thing about this is that in Ecruteak City, there will be a tower where you can set the levels of the Pokemon inside of it--anywhere from 1-100. This will be the best place to train your Pokemon in the whole game! Also, Pokemon will learn new moves that they couldn't in G/S. There will be new TMs, HMs, and items. Crystal is definitely the best game of the year, of the century, and of the millenium so far! If you are a serious Pokemon fan, this game is for you!

Whatever that guy before me said about Crystalix, it's not true. No new Pokemon have been added to Pokemon Crystal, but I do believe there's a way to obtain Celebi in the game. I've seen screen shots of the japanese version, but don't quote me on this I'm not too sure. Moving on -- you can choose to start as a male or female character, and your pack's desing will change depending on your gender. Also, there's a new rival out there who's obsessed with catching Suicune, and supposedly you have to stop him or something. This game is very centered around Suicune, as you can see on the box design, and a feature in the game that I like is that the legendary dogs are actual sprites in the game now, and when you see them, you click on them and fight them, so it'll be easier to find and catch them. Three new TM's will be added -- Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, and Ice Beam -- but you can only teach them to your Pokemon at the Game Corner for a whole crapload of coins. New moves can be bred or learned by Pokemon now -- like Eevee learning Baton Pass and Cloyster learning Spikes.

This game is totally cool! I can tell you all the new things. 1.You are able to choose between a boy or a girl. Pretty cool, huh? 2. New Radio Tower game called Buena's Password. Listen to the password, then tell Buena the password at night. 3.Trainers trade new pokemon. 4. New items (Clear Bell, etc.). 5.Whenever you enter a city, route or landmark, a sign will appear saying where you are. 6.Pokedex has a new function and new descriptions. 7. Battle tower in Olivine. Battle 7 consecutive trainers to earn rare items. 8.Wise Trio- Recieve the clear bell and battle these three trainers to earn a chance to get Suicune. 9.New rival named Eusine. Also wants Suicune. 10. Move Tutor- After defating Red, this guy can teach pokemon rare moves for a price. 11.The Ruins of Alph now has secret rooms. 12. The Goldenrod Pokemon Center is now a pokemon communication center. 13.The Goldenrod City PokeMart now has a new rooftop square. 14.The Old Breeder Man gives you an Odd Egg. 15. You can now go in the Dragon's Den. 16.Pokemon can be found in new areas. 17.Pokemon learn new moves.18. Trainers can call you offering a rare evolution stone.19.You CANNOT capture Celebi. It's only in the Japanese Version.20. No new pokemon or the game won't be compatible with Pokemon Stadium 2. That's all ;)

I have heard lots of thing about crystal and this is what I know. 1.you can pick your own gender.you can catch celebi by collecting all 16 badges,then go to the pokemon commication center.nurse joy will give you a G/S ball.take it to kurt for a day,then get it back.go to the Ilex forest and put it on the shiren and celebi will appear.the unown puzzle have change and there's a new battle tower.when you first vist the day care the man will give you a old egg.you'll have a new rivle who is eager to catch suicune,so you have to catch it first.you can get shiny pokemon and pokerus eaiser.and pokemon have bocome more anamaited during battle. when you enter a route or town a wooden like sign at the bottom of the screen.there are also new items like the crystal bell and the G/S ball.the legendary dog are eaiser to catch now.there is also more info on the pokemon now. so buy pokemon crystal

Pokemon Crystal is the best pokemon game ever so far, so here's the real deal:

1. Pokemon animate now, like Pikachu blinks and waves his arm. 2. There is a Battle Tower now west of Olivine City which has tons of trainers ready to battle you. If you win, you may even get Protein, Carbos, etc. 3. Suicine is a major player in the game. (I think the box says so...) A Suicine fanatic, Eusine, wants to capture it, and you are his rival. 4. You can capture Ho-oh in this game, one one condition: You must beat the elite four and capture all the ledgendary dogs. 5. You can choose to be a girl. If you are, you graphic will look different, and your pokegear looks different too. 6. Trainers give different responses when they call you via cell phone. 7. Unown puzzles in the Ruins of Alph are more interesting. 8. A new radio show, hosted by Buena, gives you a password every night. Tell the password to Buena in the Radio Tower in Goldenrod to redeem points to get free prizes. 9. Pokemon are found in new places and learn new moves. 10. The Ice path looks much cooler that in G/S. The walls look like ice.

But........ YOU CANNOT GET CELEBI and there are no Cell phone capabilities for the US version. (It is only in the Japanese one.)Please keep this message in mind because dumb people love to spread rumors and "catching Celebi in Crystal" is one of them, just a bunch of foey!

But my point is, buy Pokemon Crystal. It rocks and every Pokemaniac should get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

The new crystal version is to gold and silver as yellow is to red and blue, it's a lot better. In this game you can chose to be a boy or girl, and unlike red, blue, yellow, gold, and silver your pokemon can learn unlimted moves. Also in this game you can catch the new 251 bug/phycic pokemon celibi. All you need to do is get a G/S ball, take it kurt for a day then take it to the shrine in Ilex Forest. This game has more Items, Balls(G/S ball of course)and pokemon. I think everyone who plays it will enjoy it!

To clear up a few facts, Crystal is NOT a new 'miniseries' as I call them (like r+b and g+s). It is really an addition to gold and silver. The only new available pokemon is Celebi (which is supposedly not that strong.) But there are a few important, major differences that I consider worthwhile.

For one, the story line of Suicune. I LOVE SUICUNE! Hee hee. The legendary dogs aren't just little things in your pokedex! Yay! You're on a quest to catch, the best, in my opinion, legendary dog there is. Because, quite frankly, after you've beaten the game, there AREN'T any other quests to do, and this perks it up a little.

Two, there is a girl option. That's not a bad thing, because a lot of hard-core pkmn fans (most, actually), are girls! And that includes me ^_^ It kind of unites the pkmn community a bit to make it double-gendered instead of being one sided, and also gives a little respect to girls, unlike the games in which all characters are male.

Three, Celebi. The only grass/psychic, if you don't count those egg-things. This shows that Nintendo is maybe NOT trying to pull another Mew-trap on us (if you play R/B, you'll know what I mean). I like!

Finally, the animations. It just makes the game a little more lifelike, so you can spend even more of your night imagining you are a real trainer...

Here's what's new from the gold and silver versions: 1. u can choose 2 be either a boy or a girl this doesnt change the story it just changes the color of your pokegear and your graphic 2. there is a new battle tower west of ollivine city u can win prizes like iron carbos calcium and protien 3. suicune is now easier 2 find and catch 4. there r different cell phone numbers 2 register and u can get items like elemental stones from certain trainers 5. there is a rooftop square on the goldenrod radio tower that holds bargain sales every so often 6. different items 7. new rival mysticman eusine also wants to catch suicune 8. u can enter the dragon shrine and the dragons den isnt just a hiding place 4 the dragon fang 9. different pokemon found in different places 10. traders have/want different pokemon 11. ruins of alph is harder 12. u can catch ho-oh after catching every legendary dog and beating the elite 4 and lance 13. new DJ Buena listen 2 her station between 6 PM and midnight then go 2 the radio tower tell her the password and win points u can trade in points 4 free stuff like ultra balls hp up and rare candy
I'm sorry 2 have 2 break the bad news but u cant catch Celibi. Otherwise, this is the best video game I have ever played!
