We bought this for our son. It's definitely for smaller sized children. My best guess is it would be best suited for 4-6 year olds. It's smooth on the inside, just like the outside. It would have been nice if it was more of a cotton fabric on the inside for added warmth. It does have bright coloring and our son loves it.
