This CD gives what you want, and more. It comes with all of the main themes of the movie, (Mewtwo's theme becomes even more evident when you don't have to look and listen to characters) and even some music which you can't hear due to voices and sound effects.

The orchestration is brilliant. And the sound quality is so good you can practically pick out each individual instrument from the smush and identify it. (no it's not all synthesised! If you listen to the DVD the producers even say that first they put it on a computer program which imitates an orchestra, THEN they actually get a real orchestra to perform it in the studio!)

It even comes with the music from the mini movie which is a bonus cos I love the music on Pikachu's Vacation, even though it is corny.

I'd get it even if I weren't a major Mewtwo worshipper. I just love the orchestral soundtracks! *waits for nonexistant third movie soundtrack* ^-^

I brought this cd because I love Pokemon the first movie and I think it has some wonderful music. My favorite track is by far Mew's Theme, even if it is only 30 seconds long. Mew is my favorite Pokemon and the song is very cute. If your a fan of the first Pokemon movie, this cd is a must.

I got this CD for my birthday and I loved it. I have the movie and the other CD. But I can't tell which CD is better *sigh*. Oh well, my favorite tracks are: "Three on Three", "This is my World Now" and "Freeing Charizard". This CD is cool (hmm, I think I said that already), and I can't wait to get the new CDs for "Pokemon, The Movie 2000". If only there was a CD with music from "Sailor Moon". Anyway, if you're a Pokemon fan get this CD

I have this Cd and it's hard to belive that this wonderful music didn't win any awards. Whats wrong with them just because it was made by the people from pokemon doesn't mean they don't work. It's like a priceless gem. If your a music fan or a pokemon fan or anyone I recomend this.

I've looked a while for this CD and I'm glad I got it when I did... I think the music in this is very good, so good, I wish I knew the instruments that made the music, especially for Mew's theme. This CD still gives me the feel of the movie even though I haven't watched it in a long time.

Music is commonly overlooked in most movies, but Pokémon's First shows that there is more to music than you might expect. So much so, that there are two separate soundtracks to Pokémon: The First Movie. The music on this soundtrack is purely orchestral, and is so great sometimes it's hard to think this music was playing throughout the movie. On its own, this soundtrack shines; together, it makes a great movie.

Fianally they have made a CD of the actual score from the movie instead of that "inspired by..." stuff. Excellent!

I purchased this CD not long ago. I must say, I am thuroughly impressed, and if you can get past the overuse of a seven-note passage and a lack of grammar on the final track name, buy this CD.

Three tracks leap to mind as great: The Birth of Mewtwo, Three on Three, and Adventure in Paridise. The Birth of Mewtwo is great because it features the phenomenal introduction to Mewtwo Strikes Back. Three on Three has the music from the evolved starter battle. This is the part of the movie I never watch because I'd rather play through in my head what I would do if I were there (which, by the way would be not fight). Finally, we have Adventure in Paridise. This is an interesting track, because I swear it has music for the race scene in Pikachu's Vacation that was later replaced by Catch Me if You Can (a toss-up, in my opinion). For those of you who are intrigued by these kinds of nuances, this is another reason to by this CD.

The pakaging is nothing special, unless you should need to make a drawing of Mewtwo (there's a big picture of his head under the cd, so don't let anyone say Feraligator was the first to pull that stunt).

All in all, this CD would make a great gift to any Pokémon aficinado. It's also a good collector's item. You will not regret this purchase.

Of course, ths English version of Mewtwo Strikes Back has different music than the Japanese version. None the less, the music in this CD is definately worth buying. It has beautiful instrumental background music, which adds suspense, joy and just very pleasing to the ear.

If this CD is for Pokémon fans, they will really enjoy this CD. Even for those who aren't Pokémon fans, they will still like the music. Very well composed. A perfect 5 stars.

How would I sum up this CD in one word: BRILLIANT! The music on this CD is of such a high standard that I just can't stop listening to it. My favourite track is Invitation to Danger, mostly because of the first 90 seconds if it: that is really powerful, emotional music. The same can be said for Surviving the Storm and Three on Three. Mew's Theme was a little disappointing, as it is only 30 seconds long, but is nonetheless, quite cute. This CD is a must for anyone who really liked the movie.
