An extremely thorough guide however the binding leaves much to be desired as countless pages of my son's book have fallen out. I started taping them back in but it became pointless and now just stick them between the pages that are still attached to the binding!! I came back to this item to see if there was a hardback edition but didn't find one :-(

I am very pleased with the book. It was just what I was looking for! It has the latest information on each pokemon. It has a picture of the pokemon, what it evolves to, and its strong and weak points. A quick summary to the point information. I highly recommend it.

My daughter consulted this so much that the pages fell out. They are scattered all around the house now, which doesn't much help her. Before the binding failed, she read it constantly, now we can't even find all the pages.

Bought for my 10 year-old son who is Pokemon crazy. He looks for it every day when coming home from school. Almost bought the Pokemon 10th Anniversary Pokedex (Prima Official Game Guide), but bought the Pokemon Diamond & Pearl Pokedex: Prima Official Game Guide Vol. 2 (Prima Official Game Guides) instead just because it had the newer Pokemon. He will scan these for hours, even if he's not playing the game because it's almost as fun for him to plan "catching" strategies. My wife commented that it's the best birthday present we have ever given.

This guide is better than the hardback 10th anniversery edition in that it is more portable. The information is essentially the same, just does not have the larger size pictures. Nice compact guide!

I don't know why my boys wanted this but they are always picking this book up and looking things up and telling each other stuff. The pages are getting rough looking and it looks like a book that has been read and that makes me happy! I hate buying them a book that stays looking new! So I know it must be good!!! Right!! If your klds are into Pokemon then this must be something they can use!

It is simply not bound well enough to be used frequently. Ours started falling apart within a couple months, and has lost several pages. For a while it was being read nearly daily by my son, but that shouldn't cause a book to start losing pages.
