This book is (and I am sorry for this cliche) a must have for all fans of Pokemon.
I bought it for refrence, seeing as it is complete. Th guides for the games arn't all the special, but the actual Pokedex, with the list of all the Pokemon and all their stats is really good.

My only bad point, and this is very sad, is that they have used the only pictures of the Gold and Silver Pokemon. Why? They have new ones. It just makes alot of the Pokemon out of place.

I love this book very much, but I think they should've added three things. One, a description on the pokemon, two, a little bit of informaion about the trainers and the trainers pokemon, and three, at least a little bit of information on mew, celebi, lugia, and deoxys, because in the pokemon handbooks they have information on them. But still, I find this book very useful and I think it is definetly worth buying.

Book was everything I wanted for my 6 year old. He loves it and uses the information in the book every day as he strengthens his Pokemon.

One thing not mentioned in the description is that the cover is "magic motion"--attractive artwork definitely geared toward the collector. I have been pleased with the other Prima products I have purchased and I look forward to using this reference item in conjunction with my related Nintendo gaming products; however, folks not interested in flashy packaging might want to opt for a softcover version of a Pokedex.

This is pretty useful for checking out movelists for the various Pokémon. However, the information they give on stats is shaky, and sometimes actually incorrect when you do careful comparison between base stats for each creature. In general, the information is still in the ballpark, but the system they use can sometimes make it difficult to get an accurate comparison between two creatures without actually going in the game and leveling them up.

Also, the book really needs a list of the various Natures and their effects.

Overall, it's a nice purchase, though, and the hardcover is a great plus.

Very colorful book with high quality papers. The poster in the book is nice and the kid likes it very much.

i bought this for christams used and soon learned that it would not have the 3D pictures of charmander, bulbasaur, and squirtle. Merely a tiny picture of all the pokemon in no order on the front and back cover. I also received one with a ripped open corner. Don't buy it used.

I bought this book for my 8 year old nephew who loves Pokemon. He reads this book religiously and often carries it around with him wherever he goes. He has memorized an incredible amount of information that he has learned from this book. At the very minimum, it is highly entertaining. At its best, it is good exercise for his mind.

Our grandson had to have this book and was delighted with all of it. States that he knows everything now. Many thanx!

My kids love game-boy, my kids love pokemon, if you have kids who love pokemon, they will love this book, it is hard-cover and had great info and illustrations about all the pokemon, KIDS WHO LOVE POKEMON WILL LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!
