Product Description

From the Manufacturer

It’s a new kind of Pokemon challenge, available exclusively on the WiiWare service! Pokemon Rumble is an action game in which you control Toy Pokemon and take on wave after wave of other Pokemon in a variety of battle stages.

Befriend some of the defeated Pokémon along the way, add them to your collection, and use them in battle. Switch between collected Pokemon at any time, taking advantage of the fact that the amount of damage you deal depends on the type of move used and the type of Pokemon you're fighting. Try to collect all 151 original Kanto Pokemon—along with tons of bonus Pokemon!

Battle through six unique stages, each with different Pokemon and environments. Be the last one standing to gain the right to compete in the Battle Royale and test your skills against many Pokemon at once.

Team up with three people for some multiplayer action, working together to take down tough bosses and earning points that can be used towards recruiting or training Pokemon. You can even save your favorite Pokemon to your Wii Remote for exchanges with friends.

Combining beautiful cel-shaded graphics and exciting game-play features with the world of Pokemon, this is one rumble you won't want to miss!

    • Battle, collect, and play as wind-up Toy Pokemon
    • Go it alone or battle cooperatively with up to three other players
    • Take on dozens of Pokemon at once
    • Face giant boss Pokémon at the end of each stage
    • Transfer your favorite Pokemon to your Wii Remote and take them with you to a friend’s Wii console

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite Pokemon game May 7, 2011
Okay, to be honest, I don't like Pokemon anymore. I basically grew out of it after Diamond and Pearl, and don't even let me talk about the show. Fortunately, there was one game in the franchise I still had to enjoy. That game is Pokemon Rumble for WiiWare.

So, this game plays differently from most of the other Pokemon games out there. Instead of being a Pokemon trainer, telling Pokemon what to do to fight back at enemies, you ARE a Pokemon physically beating the heck out of a bunch of them! That's right. This is not an RPG like Final Fantasy, Paper Mario, or Dragon Warrior. Instead, it's a beat 'em up, in which the lots of punks to kill are Pokemon.

The whole game starts out with a Rattata (a Pokemon) sneaking into the Battle Royale, a big arena where everybody fights and the last Pokemon standing wins. Unfortunately for Rattata, these Pokemon are a whole lot stronger than it is. As it enters the Royale, that's where you take control now. Good luck winning, though, because I wouldn't say it's easy. You actually have to lose to move on, since the Pokemon are stronger. Now, you actually get to pick from 6 big levels to go bash some Pokemon, and for some reason, befriend a few.

While the levels themselves only differ by the different types of Pokemon and setting, it's still a blast to play through them, especially with other players helping out. Yes, this game can be played by up to 4 players total. The minor problem, though, is that you guys share the amount of lives you have. Luckily, you can just switch Pokemon (if you have any others) to save yourself. Each Pokemon you have has its own health bar.

During all of this, you must get a Pokemon that has a big enough Power level to enter into the Battle Royale. Once you're in, you can't switch out Pokemon.

5.0 out of 5 stars My son asked for this March 23, 2011

OK, so I never did a online game code purchase for the Wii. it was definitely an experience, but once I managed to get the code input correctly, it was great. My son, who's 8 yrs old, love the game, and one of the advantages is that the disc won't get damaged, as there is no disc. I'm pretty certain this game would be appropriate for all ages. I didn't see any issues letting my 8 yr old play.

4.0 out of 5 stars Up to 4 players and the kids like it September 17, 2014

Fun game if you like button mashers. Try the demo fitrst, If you like that, and won't get bored of doing that for at least 5 hours, then get it. It is really the demo you can find on the Wii over and over. There is really no insight into which Pokemon are better suited against others, and all the moves are variations for each type of Pokemon. For example: a fire pokemon attack will be red and have a flame, while a grass pokemon will be green and have a leaf, but they are essentially the same move.

3.0 out of 5 stars It got boring fast. March 10, 2012

Bought the game for my brother, since he is a pokemon fan. It was fun for about 10 minutes, then it got down right dull and boring. No stories, no evolving (already expected it with the demo), weak graphics. It got super repetitive as well.
