Pokémon Snap isn't as easy as it looks, as not just any old picture will satisfy Professor Oak; submissions for his Pokémon Report are judged on size, pose, technique, and whether or not there's more than one of the same Pokémon in the picture. As progress is made, new areas open up, and players are given items to aid them in their quest. Although there are only seven areas, they need to be revisited often, as hidden and otherwise uncooperative Pokémon must be "coaxed" by using items that you previously didn't have before. Also, Pokémon will do some of the craziest things--which make for great photographs--but only under certain conditions that require much experimentation (or a strategy guide) to unearth. --Joe Hon

My little four year old niece owns this game. Every time she comes over, the adults take it over! I caught myself playing once for over four hours. To begin with Pokemon are incredibly cute, and it is nice that this game does not focus on the trained Pokemon doing battle with each other but rather on the wild Pokemon playing in their "natural" habitats. The whole concept of taking pictures of Pokemon and then having these pictures scored by "Dr. Oak" is not only great for young children but gratifying for adults as well. And since you can increase the difficulty, the game really increases your hand-eye coordination without the use of violence (a major plus). And you can't forget the bonus of turning your favorite snap shots into stickers at the video store. You can bet "Pokemon Snap" is on MY Christmas list!

Pokemon snap is sooo fun!It sounds wierd that taking pictures of pokemon could be fun, but it relly is. Parents won't have anything against it, because there's no violence. It's totally cool to see all the pokemon in 3-D and playing around. This is one of the best games for n64. It may sound easy, but sometimes it's hard to get a good shot of a certain pokemon. What's more, you can choose your 4 best shots, take the cartridge to blockbuster, and have them printed out. I totally recomend this game. It's 'da bomb! (The pokemon our so cute!) BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT! peace. chow. (Tip: Go through the same corse lots of times. when you get pester balls, throw them everywhere! If a pokemon won't turn around, keep throwing those pester balls at it. Good luck!)

Finally! Pokemon fans can see their idols in 3-d! Pokemon Snap features a beautiful 3-d environment crawling with pokemon. You're Todd, a pokemon photographer who is sent by Professor Oak to collect pokemon pictures. Along the way, the Professor will give you items such as apples to lure pokemon to where you want it to go. As soon as you've taken your pictures, you can print them out at Blockbuster Video! I encourage you to get it if you are a pokemon fan!
