My 9 year old son has these and absolutely loves them. He doesn't play the actual game with them, but just plays with the figures and has them on display. The detail on these are incredible, they're like tiny little works of art. Amazing. Worth the price just for their beauty alone. They even have the name of the sculptor on the bottom of each piece. I'm surprised they don't cost a lot more than they do - these are not ordinary plastic Pokemon figures! A must for any true Pokemon fanatic.

My sons (5 & 7) saw the ad for these Next Quest figures in a magazine last summer and were so excited they put the release date on the calendar. When they received a starter pack each for the Holidays it was pure excitement! After two days, three of the figures had broken off the bases. The playing board is paper instead of cardboard and is easily ripped. Granted, boys can be rough, but these are marketed to boys! They were hoping to be able to trade them like the cards, but none of their friends at school like the figures very much. Since they are bulky toys they do not fit into a pocket as easily as the cards. Fun game concept but really just a lame money maker for Pokemon.
