Now that the Pokemon craze has swept across America, hundreds of thousands of gamers are trying to "catch 'em all." Well, with the aid of this guide, such a task will not be a problem. This colorful guide clearly reveals the locations of all the little creatures, and each bio is accompanied by stats, pictures, and other interesting tidbits of info. The RPG quest is concisely mapped out and all maps are tagged with helpful navigational information as well as item locations. In addition, this guide also includes loads of info on the history of Pokemon, and also provides insight on what may very well be coming in the future. I highly recommend this guide as a companion to either the Red or Blue version of the game--you'll be provided with all the information you'll need.

I'm amazed at the number of kids complaining about spelling errors and yet they can't even formulate a proper sentence. This book is great, and if you think there are errors, it just shows that you don't know much about Pokemon. A lot of the info, as stated in the book if you can read, is Japanese based. That means that some names are in Japanese instead of their US counterparts. Also the picture on the cover accurately depicts a trainer who looks like one of the trainers in the anime. Mark MacDonald did a great job on a very helpful book. Everyone should give it a look and before you criticize, educate yourself on Pokemon more.

That book isnt even liscenced or official. I mean look at the horrible cover. What the heck is that? A deformed Charizard and Paras? Plus all of the information in it you can find at really good pokémon websites today.

I think the book is awesome. The only problem with the book is the grammar. And for those people who don't know what the pokemon in the front cover is, it is the evolved form of charizard, from the gold and silver version.

Simply the best Pokemon strategy guide out there! I looked at all of the different Pokemon strategy guides and this is by far the best overall! Although it has some drawbacks such as a little bit of poor grammer here and there, a poor cover, and not being an "official" Pokemon strategy guide, it's definitely the best. I would recommend it to everyone! A+

It can be a pain to find certain pokemon in other guides because they sort them by their ID #, and not alphabetically. If you want a pokemon index that you can easily search through alphabetically, this book is for you.

I bought this book. I already have the Prima Pokemon guide, but this has a few things the other doesn't. Yet, I use both guides, sometimes together. Sometimes, two strategy guides are better than one!

On the Jigglypuff page in this guide, under where it says evolution, there is something wrong with the Wigglytuff part. It says Wigglypuff instead of Wigglytuff.

well after reading this book i can tell you that it has very helpful maps and many mistakes.. other than that it is great and i deeply would recommend this book to anyone
