In "The Battling Eevee Brothers," Ash, Misty, and Brock encounter an abandoned Eevee and seek out its owner in Stone Town. They discover a garden party honoring the Eevee's trainer, Mikey, and in attendance are all the best Pokémon trainers specializing in stone evolution. With Misty's support, Mikey refuses to evolve his Eevee for battle and keeps him as a best friend instead. Although his brothers scoff, it is Mikey's unevolved Eevee that eventually defeats Team Rocket's attempt to steal all the evolved Pokémon and teaches all present to have the courage to follow their own paths. Ash and his friends continue their quest to become Pokémon trainers in "Wake Up Snorlax!" When the trio comes upon a town without food, they head upstream to see how they can help. What they find is a 1,000-pound Snorlax asleep and blocking the spring. You'll have to watch this episode to discover the one thing that will awaken a slumbering Snorlax, but rest assured that the trio triumphs once again. In "Showdown at Dark City," Ash, Misty, and Brock encounter a town that loathes Pokémon trainers. Two local gyms are tearing apart the town in an effort to defeat one another and win the title of "Official Pokémon Gym." In the end, Ash and his friends defeat both gyms with the help of a ketchup-loving Pikachu and inspire the members to start again with a healthy respect for Pokémon. Followed by Jigglypuff Pop. (Ages 4 to 10) --Tami Horiuchi

5.0 out of 5 stars 3 Great Episodes of Pokémon, November 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Pokemon - Wake Up Snorlax! (Vol. 13) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This Pokémon tape contains three of my all time favorite episodes. First it is "The Battling Eevee Brothers". Ash, Misty, and Brock meet trainers at Stone Town, of course Team Rocket shows to add some excitement and try to steal all the evolved Pokémon. Next in "Wake Up Snorlax" Ash and co. must wake up a Snorlax that is blocking a town's water supply. Then in "Showdown At Dark City" the group meets feuding gyms fighting over who gets to be an official gym. There is a lot of battling and Pikachu seems to really enjoy his ketchup. Overall the episodes are great and filled with tons of excitement and lots of laughs. Pikachu is so cute you will wish you owned one. Pokémon is the probably the best anime out there right now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Snorlax...'nuff said., December 30, 1999
This review is from: Pokemon - Wake Up Snorlax! (Vol. 13) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
How could anyone question the greatness of this video? Snorlax -- this guy was simply born to be a star. In his first major role, he explodes onto the Pokemon scene with an Oscar-worthy performance. Never has anyone captured the art of napping so beautifully, so evocatively as this large fellow. Snorlax possesses a keen understanding of the concept of laziness that is rivaled by none. His eyes closed, his face displaying an eternally peaceful expression -- I was moved like never before.

The greatness of Snorlax is one that can not be explained in a mere paragraph, so I will say only this: Watching this video once is not enough. You and your family will want to relive the experience of sleeping with your friend Snorlax time and time again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pikachu loves ketchup!, April 19, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Pokemon - Wake Up Snorlax! (Vol. 13) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
There are three episodes on this tape. One is about a boy whose brothers pressure him to evolve his Eevee before he's ready. Another one is about a Snorlax that fell alseep, causing problems for a nearby town. The last episode is great! Pikachu really likes his bottle of ketchup! It's one of the cutest things I've ever seen!
