The point of view in these three one-act plays is decidedly southern. Many of Ms. Higman s characters would have felt right at home in a William Faulkner novel. Actors will enjoy getting their teeth into these parts. There is not a throw-away role among them. One of the plays, Pokeweed and Mrs. Gasp, has been on a national tour, garnering rave reviews. While not overly religious, each script reflects society s need for understanding, honesty, and unconditional love.
