And...in this case what to bring includes your sweetie and a romantic attitude! Good information, good laughs and well written!

Hi, everybody.I'm Mike Guernsey, Scott's best friend and the Gorge's top model for '07. LOL. I just want to tell the whole world how fabulous it was to partake in Scott's book about hiking, love, nakedness, romance, history and the beauty of being alive! Scott knows EVERYWHERE in the Gorge--He's truly amazing and this breathtaking piece of our country is as well. Scott has the inate ability to spend a lifetime finding incredibly unique and gorge-ous places in nature, spots you and I might never see let alone even think of, and then bringing them to life by teaching you how to get there and suggesting what to do once you arrive!
I live in Arizona and for two years he and I would spend 3-4 crazy, hectic days running around to these fabulous gems and he'd force me to "fake kiss" and hug gorgeous models while standing in heaven! Nude. How hard is that? NOT!! :) The beauty of the Gorge constantly blows me away, and nobody knows it like Scott.....". Read a page of his work, travel to his backyard and take a hike with him. You'll be amazed from moment one! I got to place blackberries on bushes rather than pic 'em, get my booty squeezed while kissing in a cave, walk ankle-deep in a creek with a true goddess, create a triple arch at Catherine Creek with two amazing girls...and welcome in a new day by spanking the cutest butt ever on the old highway while cars passed me at 60 mph only feet away!

How great is that?

Grab your husband, girlfriend or someone you've just met that you're dying to impress and take them for a hike. A special hike. Bring a picnic, a blanket and a bottle of wine. Find a picturesque place where you two can feel at one with nature and see what happens! Then tell Scott....he'd love to know!

Scott is a killer friend and also an absolutely fantastic author and guide! Get with it buy the book. I show it to all my friends and can't wait to be there again in June!

This was the epitome of an impulse buy as I stopped at the liquor store in Hood River and saw this book sitting by the cash register. I smiled and slapped down my $20. Over the weekend with my friends this book was enjoyed by EVERYONE and showed itself to be worth every penny. The author shares some fabulous locations in the Gorge waiting to be visited by lusty explorers. Even those that keep their clothes on will find some wonderful new spots to seek out the Gorge. The photographs are both beautiful and funny and sweet and the light heartedness is balanced with solid directions and great bits of history. I've given this book to several friends as gifts and it is *always* a big hit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Well, maybe not hiking in the traditional sense....but how many books actually get you to take your skirt for a hike...up! This book is non-stop fun--get it for your partner and she/he will LOVE you!

Loved this book! It was casual and fun, yet educational about the realities and histories of the gorge. It epitimizes the laid back and open attitude expressed by many in this area. Oh, and the photography was excellent, too! Great coffee table read to lighten the atmosphere!

First off, if you have never been to The Gorge it is a must see! I have made frequent trips to visit my best friend in Portland, OR and we make a point to see some of the best landscapes I have ever seen in the USA. This quiet, untouched area of the Upper NorthWest is incredible for recreation, sightseeing, wine tasting, without gaudy commercialized overpopulation. The Gorge is alive!!!

Scott's book Pokin Round the Gorge completely mimics the feel of natural beauty The Gorge offers. This is a tasteful and natural explanation (and visual) of what is The Gorge is all about. I highly recommend taking in the beauties The Gorge has to offer and take along the best guide....Pokin Round the Gorge, to experience it like no other. I highly recommend ordering this book whether you have plans to visit or not. I will bet you will book a trip there very soon after purchasing this great piece of work!
