4.0 out of 5 stars Really Cool
I bought this for my twin boys who are almost 2. I anticipate that they will be a little rough on this due to their age, and this is why for the price I really couldnt go wrong. The structure is pretty sturdy, it comes with stakes for outdoor use and even has a nifty carrying case. All in all, its affordable, adorable, and I cant wait for the boys to get it for...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but small
This item is REALLY adorable, easy to set up (though not easy to fold back up and put away). I absolutely love it, but was disappointed when it came in. Do not be fooled by the dimensions. The tent is actually very small, with much of the height being allocated in the top. I would say it is best for ages 3-5. Our 7 year old can't lay down in it. So if you're buying this...

Santa brought this toy for my boys (4 years & 10 months), and let me first start by saying it is ADORABLE and they LOVE it! However, I really wanted a tent that was just a pop up tent, so I could easily fold it down when they werent playing with it and "pop it up" when they wanted it. This tent does pop up, but you also have to put a few rails inside of it as well. The rails attach by tying them to the inside of the tent and within a few days one of the strings used to tie the rails detached from the tent. It was easy to sew back on. Also along the bottom there is a little pocket for each rail to slide into, I can see on the outside of the tent where the fabric is separating. It truly is one of the cutest tents I have seen for little boys, so we will be keeping it and fixing problems as they happen. So, if you want something cute and don't mind mending boo-boos this is the tent for you. But, if you are looking for quality, you probably want to keep looking.

Recieved this as a gift for my 1 yr. old's birthday. He Loves it!!! He likes to keep his favorite toys inside and play ;) It's cute to watch him be independent... and go into his secret castle ;) Great gift and a reasonable price! I highly recommend this gift!

Set up was easy! And it is very space efficient... we live in southern cal, and our living room is not huge... so this really helped with space efficiency and the fact that are living room is already consumed with baby toys! ;)

great unplugged fun!! allows kids to use Imagination - lost quality in kids. no batteries needed. no disney, etc marketting. did you ever have just a left over cardboard box when you were a kid that turned into a castle, house, fort, hideout??? same principle.

I bought this for my 3 yr old nephew. He loves it. Then my neice got jealous because she got a Tinkerbell Tent instead of a "castle" tent. They both played in it for hours. It does tip over easily but only when the kids are playing rough inside. However, the material seems to stand up to them very well. It's small enought to fit in any room inside. It's so cute in person. JUST A HEADS UP: The box arrived and it had German on one side. I didn't see the English side first and I froze, worried Germany didn't have the standards we have in toys. But they do! ALSO, the box looks cheap but the actual tent does not. Bottom Line: VERY well made, perfect for boys AND girls, small enough for inside but durable enough for outside. It's fabulous and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a unique toy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just what we wanted, January 22, 2012

Easy to set-up and put away. Has a few tent stakes so is a little more complicated then taking it out and popping up, but it's easy enough. We set it up for a birthday party that included kids of many ages. They all crawled in there at some point. Even a few of the parents. If used indoors it can be unstable if somebody leans against the wall. It could even topple over. It comes with stakes to support it for outdoor use....

My kids love it, especially my 2-and 4-yr-old. Not quite a pop up tent...the round circles on top and bottom are, but the poles around the edges are more like tent poles, which I was worried about. still pretty sturdy though because even when knocked over they haven't broken. A little smaller than appears in photo but can fit 3 people sitting...I even crawl in there w/them! The 2 youngest also were able to lay in it for a special sleepover. :) I like that I can leave it up all the time if we want, just tucked in the corner of the room, not as big as other pop up tents which I at first thought would be fun for more room but now am glad I went this direction. I looked really hard for a castle and this was the only one I could find as a pop up type for a decent price. Great deal! Well worth it!

This review is from: Knight's Castle Play Tent (Toy)
I took my children on a toy shopping trip to Ikea for the express purpose of buying a play tent. My son found one he liked (it is styled like a pavilion instead of a castle), and his sister decided she wanted one too. I managed to talk her out of buying the SAME tent as her brother, and we ordered this one off of Amazon instead. So I have the advantage of looking at nearly identical tents and comparing them for this review. The Ikea tent was $10 less, required no adult assembly (it popped up out of the package), and has a detachable flag, which can be used for other play. This castle tent was kind of a pain to set up (instructions consist of one line drawing), but has the advantage of mesh windows which keep the interior of the tent at a more comfortable temperature. It also looks cool in her room with a stuffed dragon wrapped around the pinnacle. Both tents quickly warp out of shape if you have young children who use them like a giant hamster wheel instead of as a tent, but I understand that may qualify as non-standard usage not covered by warranty. I'm pretty satisfied with both tents, and now my only difficulty is getting the children to sleep in their beds at night instead of "camping" in their tents.
