5.0 out of 5 stars This is the guidebook for visually oriented people., March 27, 2007

This review is from: Poland (Eyewitness Travel Guides) (Paperback)
I used this book to plan an upcoming trip to Poland. Like most people I know virtually nothing about what there is to see in Poland. This book was indispensable! And best of all it is filled with pictures! So even though Poland is filled with castles I was able to make a judgement as to which castles looked the most interesting. If you are spending only three or four days in Krakov this book contains more than enough information. No need to buy the Krakov book. The book is divided into regions with lots of maps to help orient you. They also spend a page or two giving in-depth highlights of areas of special interest in addition to the usual stuff for each area. If you are visually oriented don't even think about buying any other guidebook.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brings Light to this Burgeoning Tourist Destination, March 22, 2004
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
You may have never considered vacationing in Poland, but after reading the Eyewitness Travel Guide for this country you will definitely want to make plans to go. DK does a fantastic job of highlighting the wonders of Poland. Ten years from now Poland will be just as high or higher on the tourist itinerary as Prague is today.

5.0 out of 5 stars DK's Travel Guides Are The Best, April 7, 2004
By A Customer
Dorling Kindersley publishes the most beautiful travel guides filled with colorful photographs and brief descriptions and background on points of interest in the particular country. Their
Poland guide is as good as their other country and city guides.

DK's guides are the only ones I buy......there are none better out there !!!! I highly recommend this one for all those who are planning to visit Poland.
