Deep in her winter den near the North Pole, a polar bear gives birth to two helpless, furless, toothless cubs. By spring, each cub has grown thick white fur, sharp claws and teeth. Following their mother, the cubs venture out into their snowy world, learning how to hunt and how to protect themselves. By the next spring, they will be fully grown and on their own.
