This is a lovely story, notwithstanding any concerns you may have about living in refrigerators. The story is lovely, with beautiful illustrations and interesting pairings of animals. The story gives you an opportunity to talk about leaving the house at night, about the wonderful things you can do in a dream that you cannot do when awake, and how (when all is said and done) there is no place more special than being back in your own bed, tucked in by your mom or dad to sleep. Some times we would use it to count certain animals, sometimes we used it as an "I spy" book, and sometimes we just read it over and over. My son, now 10, wants to make sure we keep a copy for him to read to his own children. I highly recommend it.

I took a look at this book this afternoon ... seems like living in a refrigerator is a bad thing to suggest to wee ones as a possibility. "Just climb on in and close the door ..."
