Mounts easily and works well, though it must be mounted on the down tube for the signal to be picked up. I'd prefer to mount it further back on the chain stay so it is less visable, but the signal can't be picked up.

I added this to my Polar CS300 and the cadence function works fine. Having the bike computer and the heart rate monitor in one unit is much more efficient. Adding the cadence should improve my riding efficiency when I get back on the bike regularly. Great price and fulfillment from Amazon.

I have a 56cm Cervelo RS carbon frame. The only way I can get the receiver to pick up the signal from this sensor is to hold the receiver at my water bottle. Not the most helpful way to ride your bike. I tried 2 of these thinking the sensor internal battery was dead. But to no luck. Both sensors would not send a single further than half the documented distance. I have a wireless Garmin Forerunner and cadence sensor on a different carbon frame and it works just fine. Don't waste your time or money on the Polar! What more is there to say?

Easy to install and godd instant response. It's good to add another variable in my training controll, it helps to save some energy for the moments that will be needed.

the only thing I didn't ,liked it's that take a little to much time to re start the reading when you stop to pedalling, but for all the rest it's fine.

I bought this because I was interested in training my body to maintain a higher cadence than I was used to. I paired it up with the CS300 heart monitor/cyclocomputer.

The signal is strong, and reliably reports my cadence. Here's what stuck out to me:

1) The CS300 doesn't pick up your cadence right away from being idle. I'd say it takes about 7-10 seconds before it starts showing your cadence. Probably not the cadence sensors fault though; I'm pretty sure it's sending the signal, it's just the CS300 display unit probably does a "sampling over time" method and waits a while until the next time period is over. 0 stars off

2) The sensor unit can be easily dislodged from its position, thus un-aligning it from the magnet. When this happens it will no longer report cadence information to the display unit. This could probably be alleviated if I had used a pair of 3rd hand wire tighteners to really clinch the zip-ties down sturdy onto the bike frame, but alas I do not own a pair of 3rd hand wire tighteners, and I doubt the average person does either. Tightening the zip ties by hand does not tighten them enough to keep the sensor from moving around if you accidentally kick it. Minus one point for this.

3) The unit came with extra zip ties, and an extra large amount of tape for the magnet. These will allow you to mount the unit up to 3 times if you need to remove it for any reason. I'm pretty impressed with this because most products don't think that far in advance, and it shows that Polar is indeed interested in your product experience post-purchase. Adding one point back for this attention to detail.

The battery is officially (nor easily) replaceable by the user. This makes this product unacceptable to me. The computer head unit (CS200) does not indicate when the battery on the sensor unit is low.

Excellent addition to the provided speed sensor with the CS400. Amazing computer/HRM, the software is a definite winner.

Monitor has so far performed adequately. Getting any data to your computer is another story. Worked and worked and read all the blogs associated with problems and finally bought an external microphone. It was still hit or miss and had to join an online Polar workout page. Once I did get it to work, not really any useable data. I wanted to see heart rate over time so I could monitor how well I was staying within zones during intervals etc...IT WILL NOT DO THAT. It will only give you basic info, not time and HR. Unless, it does and I have yet to figure it out. Given how many tries it took just to get anything onto my computer I would not use it now anyway.
