This watch does exactly what it says.
Good heart rate monitor, I've been using it for over a month now without problems, syncs perfect with the chest band.

Contrary to popular believe the controls are fairly easy to use while exercising, except for the awkward position of the "Stop" button, though not a major problem.

If you are looking for a "cheap" and good heart rate monitor that also records calories count this is the one for you.

I'm surprised at the negative reviews on this watch. I have had my Polar F6 for about 8 years now and I absolutely LOVE it. I have run with it, biked with it (including a 100mile century ride and training). I had done lifting sessions and spin classes. I swim with it, I hike with it. This watch puts up with everything I put it through. I have sent it in twice for new batteries which is nothing compared to the hours of tracking it has given me. It is singlehandedly the BEST piece of workout equipment I have ever bought. Highly recommend this watch.

I was satisfied with this product (3 stars) for the first 3 months of use. However, the chest strap connections became a real pain to use / establish connection. The watch functionality is not ideal either. It stopped working approximately after 1 year from purchase. We also bought the female model at the same time. Same problems with the strap, watch still works, but the color faded rapidly it looks very trashy...

Con's
- Chest strap became a major pain
- Interface could use an improvement / be more user friendly
- Low quality construction
- Stopped working

I would not recommend this product and will buy a different brand in the future.

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews about this heart rate monitor. My first HR monitor didn't have a calorie counter, so I got the F6 from my gym through a rewards program. Three years later my watch is going strong! I've given away about three additional monitors as gifts (I love that reward program).
The waist strap is comfortable and the watch is durable: I play tennis, beach volleyball, swim, bike, and basketball, so it's been through a lot of bumps/bangs and it's still without a glitch!

Received the package with HR Band Strap receiver battery dead. User can not replace the battery. That is pretty much a scam to take your money $50+ for a new HR Strap / receiver where you must send it in.

This is a throw away watch. Have no mistake about that fact. Sportline has a battery replaceable HR strap that works better with the watch and is more comfortable. If you have to adhoc one together and salvage it to work before the watch battery dies in a year or two.

Buy a Timex instead, it is more water resistant, has better functions, and takes more abuse. Timex watchs and HR sensors are user battery replaceable.


Polar got my $$$ this time, but never again will I buy one and better yet against polar, I will spread the word about their shoddy work to my friends.

They are working 30 years in the past compared to other company's products.

In answer to this email i sent them back the information of the watch box, and the serial # in the back of the watch, for them to clearly check the inventory and notice their fault. They treated me bad and didnt resolve the matter."
