The wristwatch-like monitor features a large display that includes 12/24-hour time of day, alarm, and stopwatch. The transmitter includes the Wearlink Coded function, which eliminates interference from other heart rate monitors. The transmitter's electrodes, which pick up the heart signals, are integrated right into the strap for added flexibility and comfort.
The OwnCal feature shows your energy expenditure during one exercise session as well as your accumulated kilocalories during several exercise sessions. It also allows you to set daily and weekly exercise goals in terms of calorie expenditure. The OwnZone feature helps determine an individual exercise zone, guiding you through an appropriate warm-up routine and automatically determining a safe and effective exercise heart rate zone. OwnZones presets include Basic, Advanced, Light, Moderate, Hard, and Weight. The OwnIndex feature will determine your fitness level, track your improvements, and provide motivation.
The F92ti's visual and audible alarms alert you when you reach your target heart rate zone. Product Description
Heart rate is one of the simplest and most informative of the cardiovascular parameters. When one begins to exercise, heart rate increases rapidly in proportion to the exercise intensity. In Polar heart rate monitors the transmitter in the belt detects the ECG. When the transmitter picks up a QRS complex, it transmits an electromagnetic signal, which is detected by the wrist receiver.

This watch is a bit hefty, but looks great on my wrist. You should have a fairly good size wrist for this watch. It's the first fitness watch I've owned. What impresses me is it's construction. The band is extremely confortable in that the Titanium links encase an inner rubber strap. All of the electronic functions are very good and reliable. No pun intended, but I would purchase another in a heart beat, however, as of right now this watch looks like it will outlast me.

This titanium watch looks great, during your workout, and after it. The electronics and all the functionality is the same as in the the Polar M61. This is an excellent training tool. I used this watch for many years along with the M61, before I bough the s625x running computer about a year ago, and I loved it. With the help of this Watch I lost more than 200 lbs over a year and a half period. I went from size 44 to size 32 pants, and I have been able of keep in shape for more than 5 years now!!! This watch helped me workout in my fat burning zone, by setting the appropiate HR zone. Once you star using it, you will be so hooked-up to all the useful information you receive during your running, walking, or any kind of training or workout that you embrace, that will never go out again without it. Its the perfect complement to your desire to get in shape, improve your health or competitive level. The best thing is that it is easy to use. As soon as you star training and exercising with this magnificent watch, you feel as if you have a coach or a training partner with you. If you are an athlete, an enthusiastic runner, a hobbyist, or just conscious about your shape and health, you will definitely love this watch. I do. I had owned several Polar HRMs over the years, and this is one of the best.

I've been using my F92ti for several years now. Using it mainly for running and fitness (which I do 3x a week).
If you compare it to the other watches Polar has produced, it's clear this one has been designed to be worn while not doing sports and still have a stylish look. It has worked the way I needed it to work and I'm still extremely happy with it. Should I say 'was'...Here is why. The production of the F92ti was cancelled a few years ago and the support for it has been terminated last year (2010 that is). This implies that if your wristband breaks (like mine did) you cannot order a new one. I went to my store where I bought it, I even wrote to Polar Belgium and to Polar HQ...no spare parts were available. Maybe if I go looking around I could find a watchmaker who could attach me a new wristband, but that's not the point; Polar should be able to provide basic support for a decent amount of time. Polar HQ came up with a solution for me, so after all I'm happy with their customer support.
