It's a good product, but the size is not as posted. I looked for a really long time to find the right size of these. 6" was a just a tad shorter than I wanted for cooler use, but close enough. But once these are frozen, they're really about 5.25" long and 3.5" wide. I'd say it's less than 3/4" thick as well, between that and 1/2". Now, you get 48 of these puppies for the price, so the value is great. We're just kind of packing two instead of one. What I, and probably most people would like to find, is this brand of ice pack with it's extra durability in the same size as the standard rubbermaid ice packs that only come in one size. It only needs to come in one size. Everything on Amazon is either too big or too small for normal everyday cooler use at this time. Someone help!

sure, these aren't some space age product, they are a simple, small gel pack for transporting frozen items. we bought these to take to the Bahamas for bring back fish from our spearfishing trip. this case of 18lbs of gel packs was a bit much, but for the price it was totally worth buying it. we took about 75% of them with us, saved the rest for home. They froze quickly and we ended up using them daily on our fish outings in the fish cooler instead of having to buy bags of ice everyday. everything in the Bahamas is expensive, so this was a big saver. the only downside was that we threw spiny lobsters in the cooler with the packs and the horns punctured a few of the ice packs and we had to throw them out... but not a big loss. good deal for the price and they accomplished what we were looking for!

I plan on using these for shipping products from my line of homemade skin care products. When I first received them, there was no barrier between the Ice Brix and the top of the box. They were just thrown in the box and taped shut. As a result, I ended up slicing into three of them while opening the box. Poor job of packing, in my opinion. Not sure if that was the fault of Polar Tech Industries, Inc, or Amazon Marketplace. Either way, I lost three of them. But this is a great product. After freezing them, I tested them out by leaving three of them in a box on my dining room table for two days, wrapped in brown shipping paper, nestled around my Homemade Body Butter. I wanted to see if they would stay cold during USPS' Two-Day Priority Shipping, and protect the whipped texture and quality of my Body Butter. After two days, I unwrapped the Body Butter and it was still cold and whipped. The Ice Brix were no longer frozen, but they were still cold, and they protected my product. Yay!! Not sure how they would do in the back of a hot delivery truck, but we'll see.

You can't find a better deal! I paid almost $15 dollars for what I was told would be 100 ice packs from a different company and ended up receiving ONE. After that, the price jumped to $188! I didn't think I'd be able to find a case of ice packs for a low price, so I was a bit skeptical when I found this listing. 48 ice packs for less than $17 is fantastic! And it's covered by Prime! I've had no issues with them leaking so far, but this isn't a huge concern with me anyway. I have no complaints!

These "brix" are the ideal size for fitting in and around variously-sized items in a cooler. They freeze rock hard (and will bound across a cement floor if you drop them) and are much better than ice, since they don't make a mess of ice-cold water that can soak into everything. For the most part, they hold up well, but eventually, they'll develop leaks and need to be replaced. At the price for this pack, the cost is minimal and they'll pay for themselves (over the cost of ice) long before they every leak.

The product was as expected. Ice gel bricks. They harden when frozen and stick together when all plopped on top of each other in the freezer.
One of my gel packs started leaking though? Not sure how leakproof this is... which is why i'm giving four stars. Otherwise a good product.

These are great! I used them after hip replacement surgery. With surgery you can go through a lot of ice to reduce the swelling and pain. I froze 6 of these packs and put them in a dish towel. The pack size let me fit the packs to my hip. Larger size packs wouldn't be as flexible in use. The frozen packs easily last 4-8 hours and with 6 more in the freezer, I can have continuous cold if needed. You must use 1 or 2 layers of cloth between your skin and the ice packs or you will get frostbite. The packs are much colder than ice. Also, you should limit your use to 20 minutes at a time for the same reason although I used them for longer without trouble. You can determine your own icing period. Don't just use my recommendation. Another benefit is that there is no water mess from using ice and having it melt. The packs are pretty tough but watch them to make sure they don't leak. I haven't had one leak yet after 3 weeks of use. If you are worried about leaking, put each pack into a baggie. 48 is a lot of packs. I gave 12 packs to each of my daughters for their own use in coolers, etc. and had my 12 left over. For less than $16, it's hard to find a better deal.

They are good for a use or 2, maybe 3, and then 'all bets off', I have had some leak after only 1 use, and after every use, I have to check the cooler to see if there is any 'sludge' from insides these packs, and clean it out before reusing. I end up throwing some out after every use. But they are SOMETIMES VERY INEXPENSIVE and worth it for a single-use pack, otherwise only 1 star.
