The FT60 is packed with innovative training features to help you toward your exercise goals. First off, the watch includes a Polar Star personalized training program that adapts to your workout habits. The watch also displays heart rate info in several ways, including as a percentage of your maximum heart rate, as beats per minute, and within a graphical target zone indicator. Users will also love the variety of proprietary Polar functions, including ZonePointer, Polar OwnZone, and Polar OwnCal modes. The ZonePointer is an audible and visual feature on the display of your FT60 that shows you where your current heart rate sits within your target heart rate zone. Finally, the Polar OwnCal mode shows your energy expenditure during one exercise session, as well as your accumulated kilocalories during several exercise sessions. I started looking for a heartrate monitor only and th eFT60 was continually recommended but I continued to search through all brands as well as all of Polar's other watches. I ended up back at the FT60 and have been working out with it now for about 3 weeks. I have no problems whatsoever with the watch and love all of the functions for tracking your progress and getting motivation. After setting a weekly goal and then exceeding it the watch sent me a message on the first day of the next week congratulating me on my Excellent work and recapping all of my goals and actual stats for the previous week. It even sent me a little trophy. Positive reinforcement from a watch! Now if I could only find a toaster to tell me I'm pretty I would be very happy!

Overall, the FT60 is great - it truly helps me keep track of my workouts and let's me aim for a tangible goal.
The only thing that irks me is that I can't see my time remaining/time completed for the week unless you've just finished a workout. It would be nice to see it when needed so workouts could be planned.

I'm very glad I finally decided on purchasing the FT60 vs another Polar model I had been considering. I use it daily for my walks/workouts and it keeps me motivated. Very easy to understand and the band across the chest fits very comfortably (I tend to forget I have it on). I would definitely recommend it. I thank the people who wrote their reviews because that helped me take the plunge and purchase it.
