So far (about a month), I have no complaints. I have used the velcro bags for almost 15 years and they work fine, but I actually much prefer the zipper design now (assuming the zipper doesn't break anytime soon). The velcro seals tend to grip dirt, sand, and other similar small debris items, making the connection weaker each time you empty the bag. The zipper joins tightly and debris-free. Unloading the bag is now cleaner, easier, and doesn't compromise the seal.

Zipper bag is so much easier to empty than the velcro. The dirt makes the velcro not stick and wears out much faster than the zipper bag. Most people don't know that they make these!
