I'm Dave, not a normal bicycle rider. My wife and I recently decided to purchase some bikes and a trailer to tow along my daughter. I purchased this after a couple days of searching and my wife got a Walmart Next P4.0 (Junk). We both haven't road bikes since our early teens (27 and 26 now). I'm 6'2", 240lbs for those that are curious if its large enough. I uploaded photos of the bike to the item page as well. Now onto the review.

The Polaris Rush 29" Mountain Bike is an absolutely excellent bike. I was stunned at how sexy the flat black could look on a plain looking bike.

-Shipping: 10/10 Perfect! Arrived an entire week early with only minor damage to the box (my wife's bike from Walmart was practically junk, both wheels were bent, axle bent, front brakes missing, and holes all over the box). The Polaris was packaged pretty well, although I wouldn't be against more bubble wrap.
-Assembly: 8/10 Easy, easy, easy. The instructions leave a lot to be desired but im extremely mechanically inclined so I only glanced to make sure parts weren't missing.
-The Bike: 9/10 This bike is awesome. Lower tube is way larger than the picture makes it seem and the frame just looks to be sturdy as can be. The wheels inflate to 40psi and leave me personally wanting something a little stiffer. On bumps the tires squish a little more than i'm comfortable with. Could be due to my weight. The controls switch perfectly and only needed the slightest tuning (I had no previous experience, YouTube was my teacher). The seat sucks. Plain and simple. Its incredibly hard and too skinny for a tall muscular guy like me. I purchased the Velo Elastomer Bicycle Saddle to replace it. The brakes are really good. The rear locks just as good as the front disk brake.

Of course, some adjustments should be made prior to riding this bike. My disk break does not break too well but overall a very great looking bike. Definitely recommended.

Dislikes: Just because it is some what per-assembled for you, but they actually assembled it wrong. The seat is quite horrible, it kind of hurts you after a while.

Likes: Looks! 29er madness, gear switching system is absolutely stunning,

For the price, it is a great bike. As a college student, this is the best deal to have - I do not recommend buying $100 ish bike from Walmart, had pretty bad experience with them.

This bike is a good bargin for money, Love the way it turns heads at the bike trails when other guys are sporting mountain bikes they payed hundreds for. This bike is not lightweight but weighs about 38 pound's. I like the size of the bike, I'am 5'11" 204 lbs. And this bike is perfect hight. This Polaris does have a smooth ride and love the front disk break and Shimamo thunb shifters and flat balck paint job. I have taken this bike off road and it does have a solid feel. This bike does have to be adjusted professionaly and it does go off tune after a crash so I suggest some break latex to keep your adjustment screws in place... the front break is adequate but I chanced my caliper to a Shimano. The seat is a bit rough for a long ride, I suggest a slick gel by Schwinn or Bell and save some money. Overall I like this bike and I saved money over those light bikes costing hundreds more at the local bike shop. I give it a 5 rating because even thow it's minor draw back on needing professional adjustment, the slim hard seat and the bike is a little heavy but not bad. Save some bucks... and don't spend so much if you are are not a professional mountain rider and just want to hit some minor off road bike trails.

Great bike. Only annoyance is that the kick stand doesn't hold the bike up against much of any force.

I took less than 10 minutes to assemble. I've used this bike a lot and it still works. Shifting gears works well, unless you are using heavy force as in steep hills - so if you are looking for a bike with precise gear-system and heavy use, then you have to look for a more expensive bike. For ordinary use - this bike is great.
