Like Any New Psi Trance CD On The Market..., January 29, 2007
This review is from: Polaris (Audio CD)
Gone are the days when one could listen to "Goa", Or "Psi" Trance, and find the excitement Of Originality, And Uniqueness, from mainstream Music. "Polaris", from what I have picked up, Aimed to do that on this album, by beginning with really Flashy riff build ups... Then The tracks just Fall into the mainstream of modern day Psi trance: A Heavy Beat, and A Baseline, with a few Mediocre Sound Effects... My Four Stars for this CD, Go Out to the Mellody lines that could have gone somewhere, but were just faded away, into an abyss of seemingly suspended, and monotonal beat patterns... Like I said, Every Psi trance Artist that has produced in the last few years, has done exactly the same thing! There's Just No Variety, Authencity, Or "OOMPH", To Psi Trance Anymore, It seemed to have it's epic in the mid to Late 90's, and then it just took a turn for the worst!
Oh, well! If you like All the new stuff from the likes of "X-Dream", Or the later Stuff Of "Infected Mushroom", Or "Astrix", Then you might Want to consider this one. But if you think you are going to get a whole new level of music with this cd, then I Suggest you try something different... It is good to have in my collection, but I'm not sure I will be Playing this Cd when I want to listen to Psi Trance, Or Goa!
