5.0 out of 5 stars Best New Band of the Year
You don't know it, but you're hungry. Starving, in fact. You've been eating plain bread and butter all your life: This eclectic (diverse) CD is your first (your favorite kind of pie here, like apple) pie! 3.0 out of 5 stars Good CD, Great CD
Good CD if you like The Wedding's style of making fun music. Great CD if you're already a fan of them. I seen them live about a year ago and they were great. Me and my friends all had such a good time seeing them.

You don't know it, but you're hungry. Starving, in fact. You've been eating plain bread and butter all your life: This eclectic (diverse) CD is your first (your favorite kind of pie here, like apple) pie! It is good music from start to finish and with so many great things woven into it. Violins, bagpipes, fiddles, horns, and more are all tastefully used to create some amazing songs. From soft piano driven songs to hard rock to punk to death metal-ish screaming, it is all great. Seriously. Best new band of the year. It's a I'm a recording tech major in college and I have to say this one of the BEST mixed and mastered CDs I've ever heard. I personally love every song except one, and even that song is good. Buy it. Buy it now. If you don't your ears are going to leave and come hang out with me because I have this CD and you don't.

Yeah.

Imagine trying to run for president without ears! You can't. That's right. If you don't buy this CD you'll never be a president of any kind. George Washington? He had 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fails to disappoint, June 10, 2007
This review is from: Polarity (Audio CD)
From the first few cuts I heard from this album, I knew this band was brewing something worthy of attention. I had high hopes for this production - and I was not disappointed. From it's brass intro to it's bluegrass ending, The Wedding's "Polarity" will give your ears a musical banquet that will leave you begging for more. Simply put: Rock just doesn't come any better than this. The guitars are crunchy and thick, the bass line is addictive, the beats are fresh and the vocals amazing. It's everything you've come to expect from today's alt-rock recording artists - and then some. The Wedding adds a few features that demonstrate true musicianship and musical talent like brass, bagpipes, strings and piano.

The lyrics of this album are simply amazing - deep, witty and divinely inspired. "Say Your Prayers" is, personally, one of the best written songs as of late, but they all have that one line that just goes beyond your ears and sticks to your brain and finds it's way into your heart. So, whether you're banging your head to one of their harder rock songs or letting the softer, piano-oriented songs caress your ears, you know you've experienced something else. This is a fantastic album with amazing quality (the production is fantastic) and it also possesses a quality that's rare these days - playability. I still haven't skipped one track - every song is great.

So, if you're looking for something fresh in an all-too-common genre, this is the place where you stop looking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Polarity is an awesome album from start to finish, May 8, 2007
This review is from: Polarity (Audio CD)
This album is not only The Wedding's best album, it is also my favorite album. I have over 1700 songs in my Itunes library and I'm constantly going back to listen to Polarity. I've listened to this album at least once every day since it has been released. From start to finish this album will not dissapoint. There is not 1 style followed through out, each song is a little different. I would recommend this album to everyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Man, I never knew Christian music could rock, September 18, 2007

I am a 31 year old new Christian and I have been in to rock music
for my whole life. I never thought rock and Christ could go together.
This CD proved me wrong! I am grateful that there are talented bands out
there who want to make a mark in this secular world.
The track "Last Stand" has become my theme song.

Man, this year just rocks. So many good cds and this one is way up there. I don't have anything to comment on about the lyrics or production, but this year the wedding is gonna be on the map. I saw them at a supertones farewell concert, bought the first cd, and have been waiting for this for quite some time, AND THEY DO NOT DISAPPOINT!

That is all.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love it!, June 28, 2007

The CD has been playing on repeat in my car since I got it. I love it! There is so much variety in the songs, and they're all so catchy!!

The one thing that I really love is that it breaks the traditional drums-guitar-bass-and vocals only set up with the occasional other instrument. I think one of the songs opens with a brief bagpipe intro. hehe. bagpipes!

If you've heard something from the Wedding and are thinking about buying their CD, do it!! You won't be let down!! :-)
